This stunning retreat offers the perfect base for experiencing New Zealand’s rich culture or you can simply relax and enjoy the tranquility of this stunning location from the comfort of our inviting entertainment rooms with open fireplaces.

Just five minutes from the heart of Rotorua City, Peppers on the Point is located on Kawaha Point Road and comprises of an exquisitely furnished converted 1930s mansion. Accommodation within the retreat includes nine spacious, luxuriously furnished suites with most featuring stunning lake views. There is also two private lake cottage suites along with the owners residence – The Lake Villa and a One Bedroom Lake Villa Apartment, both available on application.

Without leaving the retreats surrounds you can indulge in a heavenly massage at our onsite spa, try fly fishing from our private beach, enjoy water sports and tennis or even spend your day boating. Peppers on the Point’s dining room is also renowned for serving fabulous New Zealand cuisine accompanied by the finest New Zealand and international wines, it is an experience not to be missed.

Peppers on the Point, Rotoura is the heartland of New Zealand’s Maori culture and is set amidst a landscape of erupting geysers, hot thermal springs and bubbling mud pools. Fine dining is a specialty of Peppers on the Point Lake Rotorua. Fabulous New Zealand cuisine is accompanied by fresh vegetables and the finest wines, both New Zealand and international, from the lodge’s cellar.

Peppers on the Point Lake Rotorua serves breakfast and dinner to all guests, and lunch by prior appointment.

Choose to dine either in the main dining room mingling with other guests, a private dining room, your suite, the wine cellar or in warmer weather outside overlooking the stunning lake.

The daily four-course table d’hote dinner is preceded by drinks and canapés by the fire or on the terrace.

Breakfast includes a full buffet of fresh fruits, cereals, breads and pastries with a la carte dishes prepared to order.

Peppers on the Point offers a variety of onsite activities ranging from pampering massages in our onsite spa and fly fishing on our private beach to water sports, tennis and boating.

Edging Lake Rotorua our secluded beach, shoreline and jetty make for a fantastic setting to while away a couple of hours fishing. You will need to purchase a fishing licence, which we can assist you with, but once you have a licence you can fish to your heart’s content for rainbow trout.

Leave directly from the jetty at Peppers on the Point by floatplane and marvel at the stunning scenery of the geothermal region from above. One of our guests favourite daytrips is taking a floatplane to meet Pure Cruises to enjoy beautiful Lake Rotoiti from the water.

Enjoy the various paintings dotted around the property, most created by our local artist Mary Hodge. Mary visits the property weekly to arrange our flowers and is always thrilled to discuss her paintings and inspirations with guests. She may even give budding artists a few tips.

Learn about the history of our property and the geomorphology of the surrounding region from our friendly staff, who will be only too pleased to take you on a guided tour of the property.
