Broken Shed ‘Casino Royale’ Gala Evening

The multi award-winning event will take centre stage in the world-renowned lake and alpine resort from 21 to 30 June 2013, officially announcing that the winter season is underway.

The iconic 10-day Winter Festival first started in Queenstown back in 1975 and has now earned international recognition as the Southern Hemisphere’s biggest winter celebration.

Tens of thousands of locals and visitors take to the streets each year to celebrate the start of the winter season, enjoying fun and frivolity on and off the ski slopes with mountain mayhem, street parades, music, fireworks, comedy, food and wine events, crazy races and quirky entertainment.

Destination Queenstown CEO Graham Budd said that the annual Winter Festival was a fantastic time for people to visit and enjoy the festivities as part of their winter holiday.

Breakfast is included each day with your choice of: self-catering with gourmet ingredients pre-stocked in your refrigerator or, alternatively, served in the guest wing, or in the main part of the factory. Your kitchen will come stocked with all the basics needed to cook and there is no charge for the snacks and drinks you will find in your refrigerator. We grow our own fruit and vegetables and we are happy to pick anything for you if you wish. You will be served drinks and snacks on arrival.

Self-catered option doesn’t include breakfast or extras although Paul is always willing to make you a great coffee when needed.

There are many excellent restaurants all within 10 minutes drive of The Factory as well as the opportunity to catch your own fish over the road at the beach. There is also a gas barbecue in your private courtyard.

The living room has an LED LCD television that has FreeView as well as a Blue-Ray Player and a Geneva Stereo system, which can play CD’s or music from your own iPod. The bathroom has an old-fashioned claw-foot bath with a shower above. The use of free WiFi comes with your stay.

As you will be the only guests at The Factory, you can choose which of the 3 bedrooms you would like to sleep in. Each bedroom has a King-sized Italian Leather bed with monogrammed River Nile Cotton sheets, Dreamwool Mattresses and Novadown blankets.
